Well, the day has finally come for thousands of young people who have been waiting anxiously for A-level results and also those who still have to wait another week for their GCSE results. This year has been more stressful than ever with many students never having faced public exams before. Also, with the grade inflation over the last two years with no exams and grades decided on teacher assessments - there is real trepidation that grades will be significantly reduced.
At the time these results seem like the most important thing in the world and if you don’t achieve what you wanted, then it feels like the end of the world. For all of us who have gone though it we know this is not true but that doesn’t make it any easier. Especially if you are a parent supporting a youngster though their anxiety.
We think no matter what the results you should choose a gift to celebrate the success of your superstar – success for managing the last two years, success for working hard and doing the best they can.
