How did Cavendish French begin?

Our company, Cavendish French was started over 30 years ago, based in Buxton in Derbyshire and it focused solely on vintage style jewellery.

The jewellery was designed and made in Europe using a gold costume metal similar to the old Pinchbeck gold. The pieces were then set with Swarovski crystals in an array of colours or simulated pearls. The original stampings and tooling from the Victorian and Edwardian periods is used and the designs are true replicas of the beautiful jewellery from that era. 

We bought the business in the late 1990’s and relocated to our current base in Great Bookham. Whilst we continued with the antique style jewellery, we began to develop collections of sterling silver and stone set jewellery which have gone from strength to strength over the years. 

All our jewellery is hand-crafted and sourced from around the World. We work with a number of workshops to design and create a range which we are proud of. Jewellery which is elegant, unique, and superb quality. 

We supply independent Jewellers and Gift shops across the country as well as having our own shop in Bookham and our full range available on our website.
